2025 So Far
Kantara: The Prince
2025 has been a year full of activity. Stephen and May published the third book in the Kantara Scrolls Series entitled ‘The Prince’. This takes our hero to 1945 Earth where they must divert an atomic attack. The book is now available in Hardback, Paperback and as an e-Book.
Before We Called It Lean: A History
In January, Coulson Place produced and published a free YouTube video called ‘Before We Called It Lean: A History’. This is in response to a university asking us to prepare a one-hour video on our first book, The Progressive Machine: Before We Called It Lean.
Volunteer
In April, Stephen and Mary hosted a simulation event for the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center based on their book, The Progressive Hospital: A Lean Hope. Students learned about the power of Lean in the surgical service line setting based on Stephen’s 10+ years working with over 50 hospitals across the Americas on their Surgical Services optimization programs.
The Search for UFOs and UAPs
In May, the author duo published a Word Search puzzle book based on their research for the Kantara Scrolls series called ‘The Word Search for UFOs and UAPs’. 102 puzzles were created based on UFO / UAP stories dating back to the 1500s.
ALL Con 2025 – Panel
Stephen hosted his first panel on World Building. Guests filled the room ready to learn about a perspective on world building. Many aspiring writers attended, taking notes, and learning about world building. Stephen also answered questions on how to edit and publish books with a minimal budget. Several guests met up with Stephen afterward to learn more.
Publication Updates
Kantara: The Captain audiobook
By the end of May, Stephen and Mary will publish the Audiobook version of Book 2 in the Kantara Scrolls Series, The Captain. Dakota Jaymes returns as the voice actor. Check out his first audiobook, Kantara: The Traveler.
The Progressive Machine: Before We Called It Lean audiobook
Terry Blackman, who joined the team with the ‘Before We Called It Lean: A History’ returns to narrate the audiobook version of the Progressive Machine: Before We Called It Lean. This is in response to several requests for the audiobook version. Stay tuned for more updates.
Hotel Murder Club
At the request of the publisher, Warren Publishing, Stephen and Mary wrote their first murder mystery book. This pokes some fun at elite status guests that have an entitled feel from the perspective of the hotel workers, but things start to get out of hand. We expect this book to publish early in 2026. This book is currently in the editing stages.
Kantara: The Abducted
The fourth book in the Kantara Scrolls series is expected to arrive at the shelves in 2026. This book takes our heroes to modern day earth where we will get to see the return of the dragon. This exciting adventure is currently in the editing stages.
Upcoming Events
May 17: Stephen and Mary will host a booth at the Flea for All and Crafter’s Fair at 4809 Haltom Road, Haltom City, TX 76117 from 10AM – 3PM. Admission is free.
June 7: Stephen and Mary will be at the Barnes and Noble in Prestonwood at 1PM (5301 Beltline Road Suite 118, Dallas, TX 75254) promoting the Kantara Scrolls Series where their books are on the shelf in the Young Adult section.
June 19-20: Stephen and Mary will be at the 4th annual Texas Author Con & Book Festival at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas (500 W. Las Colinas Blvd, Irving, TX 75039.
